RCS Infra Red Burner for RON30A, RON38A, RON42A Grills

Using the optional sear burner in your RCS grill is a fantastic way to achieve those perfect sear marks and enhance the flavor of your food. Here's how to use it:

  1. Preparation: Make sure your grill is in good working condition and that the sear burner is properly installed and connected according to the manufacturer's instructions.
  2. Ignition: Most sear burners are equipped with an igniter button or knob. Turn the knob to the "Ignite" or "Light" position, or press the igniter button while simultaneously turning the control knob to the desired flame level.
  3. Preheating: Allow the sear burner to preheat for a few minutes. This ensures that it reaches the optimal temperature for searing, typically around 800°F (427°C) or higher.
  4. Seasoning: While the sear burner is preheating, season your food with your choice of rubs, spices, or marinades. This step adds flavor and helps create a delicious crust during searing.
  5. Searing: Place your seasoned food directly over the sear burner grates. The intense heat of the sear burner will quickly sear the surface of the food, creating those coveted grill marks and locking in the juices.
  6. Timing: The exact searing time will depend on the thickness and type of food you're cooking. Typically, steaks, chops, and chicken breasts may only need 1-2 minutes per side. However, it's essential to monitor the food closely to avoid overcooking.
  7. Flipping: After the first side has been seared to your liking, flip the food using tongs. Continue searing on the other side.
